Villa Louis Carriage Classic
The Midwest’s most elegant and lavishly appointed equine sport driving event. Some of the region’s finest horses and over 100 new and restored carriages compete in a variety of arena and cross-country events.

Held Annually the weekend after Labor Day, the Villa Louis Carriage Classic highlights competitive carriage driving in arena and obstacle classes.
The Villa Louis Historic Site was once home to the "Artesian Stock Farm", a premier Standardbred-training facility. The Carriage Classic celebrates the zenith of the stock farm with carriage-driving classes on the lawn.

General Information
The 2025 Villa Louis Carriage Classic will take place on September 5, 6, and 7, with competition running daily from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
How much is admission?
For 2025, we are excited to welcome you to a new venue, and even better, spectator admission is FREE!
Is there food service available?
Yes, meals will be available under the food tent, staffed by Carriage Classic volunteers.
- Breakfast and lunch will be served Friday through Sunday.
- The menu features a diverse selection of sandwiches, salads, desserts, and beverages.
- Gluten-free options are available.
- Both cash and credit cards are accepted.

Yes, the event is scheduled to take place rain or shine. In the event of lightning, temporary rain delays may be implemented for safety.
